Windows System Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure Operations (f/m/d)

Area of Work:

Join a team that shapes, deploys, and operates highly secure Microsoft‑based systems and databases for a complex, modern enterprise environment. We design and manage future‑proof solutions with strong focus on security, performance, and efficiency.

You will contribute to both on‑prem and cloud environments, running Windows Server platforms, Active Directory / Azure Entra ID, and related services. A key part of your role will be supporting our ongoing modernization, automation, and cloud‑adoption journey.

Your Responsibilities:

• Operate & Maintain: Handle daily operations such as monitoring, patching, upgrades, and configuration changes across Windows Server 2019 / 2022 / 2025.
• Deploy Solutions: Build and manage on‑premises (physical & virtual) and cloud infrastructure (Azure / GCP) using IaaS, PaaS, and other modern platforms.
• Support Stakeholders: Provide high‑quality support to internal and external customers with a strong focus on satisfaction and reliability.
• Security & Vulnerability Management: Ensure devices comply with security standards, onboard assets to security tools, and improve system stability and performance.
• Incident Handling: Investigate and resolve performance or security incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Continuous Improvement: Keep up with technological trends, look for automation opportunities, and contribute innovative ideas to enhance our environment.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration of technologies and processes.

Your Profile:

• Solid experience operating Windows Server environments in an enterprise setup (1,000+ servers).
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills with passion for automation.
• High ownership mindset, flexibility, and commitment to delivering results.
• Advantageous skills include: Azure Entra ID & Active Directory (operations & design), MS SQL Server, System Center suite, and Azure/GCP (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS).
• Structured, independent working style with strong coordination abilities and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
