Virtualization Engineer (f/m/d)

Your area of work:

Core Infrastructure has the responsibility for the Networks, Connectivity, Virtualization and Data Center for Deutsche Börse Group. We operate out of Frankfurt, Luxembourg, Prague, Chicago and Zürich.

We are looking for a Virtualization Engineer for the Virtualization Services unit. This team is responsible for the provision and operation of the VMware based virtualization infrastructure for Deutsche Börse Group.

Your responsibilities:

• Deploy, maintain and support the VMware virtualization infrastructure.
• Operate and maintain the virtualization infrastructure in strict adherence with the defined procedures.
• Ensure highest operational stability of the virtualization infrastructure.
• Provide escalation support following processes and interacting appropriately with other departments and end users, when required.
• Take part in the on-call support rotation (24/7).

Your profile:

• University degree or similar in an IT related discipline.
• Relevant professional experience is required.
• 3+ years of work experience on similar position.
• Deep understanding and operating experience of VMware vSphere.
• Proficient in basic network technologies (VLAN, Switching, Routing, DNS).
• Experience with HPe Proliant and Dell rack server products.
• Very good understanding of cloud computing concepts with exposure to Azure & GCP.
• Very good understanding of information security concepts and tools.
• Extremely curious about modern technology and cloud.
• High commitment to quality. High self-responsibility and ownership.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Following experience is a plus:

• Experience with VMware Automation using vRA/vRO or Ansible Tower in combination with vSphere

• Knowledge of other VMware products such as vSAN, NSX, vCloud Director, vRealize Operations or vRealize Automation
