Test Environment Engineer

Information Technology designs, builds and operates the technological infrastructure of the company. These highly integrated and automated IT systems are essential to our success.


We are looking for a dedicated Test Environment Engineer who will help us in advancing our global leading IT systems in the financial markets area. You will participate in the setup, delivery and support of mission critical acceptance test environments, running on a range of various IT technologies and tools.


We are offering a position to candidates with the following qualifications and experience:

  • University degree in Information Technology, natural sciences, engineering or economics
  • Technical skills in the following domains are essential:
  • Linux (RedHat) operating systems: expert skills as users / medium skills as System Administrators
  • Good knowledge of JBOSS and Weblogic
  • Good knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, Perl, Python, Groovy)
  • Good knowledge of SQL
  • Good knowledge of Jenkins, JIRA, Git, GitHub


Additional skills in one or more of the following areas will be of advantage:

  • Oracle Database Administration knowledge
  • Docker, Ansible, Artifactory, ELK
  • Cloud Provider Console and API: AWS, Azure. GCP


The following interpersonal skills are essential:

  • Excellent team spirit and communication skills
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English is essential
  • Curious, motivated and able to work in cross-location teams
  • Use initiatives to resolve problems, willingness to learn
  • Solution oriented, able to set priorities and deliver under strict deadlines
  • Willingness to travel to Luxembourg for 2-3 months



  • Participate to the application provisioning of acceptance test cycles (infrastructure preparation, code deploy, configuration, smoke tests, etc.)
  • Create and maintain automation tools for fully automated provisioning
  • Provide technical support of the acceptance test cycles after their delivery to internal customers
  • Ensure existing standards, procedures and tools are always up-to-date despite ongoing changes on the Clearstream IT applications
  • Provide clear, regular and consistent reporting to other members of the team
  • Maintain and create new documentation
