Technical Test Engineer - Data Services Test Automation (f/m/d)

Your area of work:

We are looking for a Technical /Performance Test Engineer to join Data Services Test Automation in our Prague IT Development team.  You would help us setup and coordinate testing activities on Reference Data and other systems hosted On-premises and in Cloud. You would have the task of ensuring our home-grown products meet the quality and standards our end-users expect from us. 

You will work as a Technical Test Engineer in an international team (Prague/Frankfurt/Luxemburg), which enables integration of functional and technical requirements, and improvements in a fast-changing environment. You will acquire insights into financial market products and processes, as well as work with the latest technologies. 

Your responsibilities:

• Perform Technical/ Performance testing to ensure the software meets the specified requirements.
• Develop and execute automated tests using Cucumber and Selenium.
• Conduct performance testing to assess the software's scalability and reliability.
• Review and analyze code to identify potential issues and ensure best practices.
• Write and maintain test scripts and definition steps for the test automation framework.
• Collaborate with developers to understand the technical aspects of the software and provide feedback.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process.
• Document and report defects, and work with the development team to resolve them.
• Stay updated with the latest testing tools, techniques, and industry trends.

Your profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or numerous years of experience in the field
• At least 3 years of experience in testing
• Proven experience in functional, automation, and technical / performance testing
• Proficiency in Cucumber and Selenium for test automation
• Strong knowledge of performance testing tools as JIRA, Xray, SoapUI, jMeter and methodologies
• Practical experience with SQL and databases
• Solid understanding of programming languages such as Python or Java
• Ability to review code and write definition steps for test automation
• Experience in Agile software development methodologies such as Scrum/Kanban
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality
• Proficiency in written and spoken English required

Would be an advantage:

• Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git
• ISTQB certification
• Good experience with Cloud in particular Azure
• Good knowledge of the financial markets
