The Settlement department is responsible of real-time banking applications in the post-trade processing area of Clearstream/DBAG. The application landscape consists of several critical C++ applications which are interacting with large databases, and which are communicating with numerous financial institutions worldwide.
Your Responsibilities
You will be involved in a broad range of development activities, including but not limited to:
- Designing and implementing technical solutions that address business needs.
- Creating designs that integrate security, performance, scalability, maintainability, and application decoupling.
- Planning, organizing, and supporting all phases of the software lifecycle, including deliverables, stakeholder interactions, and managing priorities, risks, and opportunities.
- Ensuring solutions align with internal and external standards for design, development, and documentation.
- Contributing to the stability and efficiency of global financial transactions through robust software solutions.
Your Profile
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- A deep passion for technology and software development
- 2+ years practical experience of programming in C++, relational databases, SQL, Linux scripts, GitHub, messaging (JMS, AMQ) and XML processing.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to understand, structure and explain complex topics to various audiences
- Teamwork focus
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Ability to meet challenging project deadlines and deliver in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work across several development streams
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
