Senior Software Engineer (Java, Oracle, GCP/OpenShift) (f/m/d)

Your area of work:
Design, build, and operate robust back-end services in Java on GCP and OpenShift, with Oracle as the core data platform. The role also includes integration with AI-based solutions developed in Python.
Your responsibilities:
- Design and develop microservices and APIs using domain-driven and object-oriented design principles.
- Build cloud-native services on GCP and deploy them through OpenShift.
- Design, maintain, and optimize Oracle database schemas, PL/SQL packages, and overall database performance.
- Implement observability capabilities, including metrics, logging, tracing, and operational runbooks aligned with SRE practices.
- Work closely with front-end, AI, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver incremental value in an agile sprint-based environment.
Your profile:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer science, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- At least 4 years of experience in Java and other object-oriented programming languages such as Go, C#, or Python.
- Hands-on experience with GCP, OpenShift/Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle schema design.
- A security-by-design mindset, including experience with secrets management, IAM, and least privilege principles.
- Experience operating production services, including incident management and performance optimization.
- Proven ability to deliver software solutions end-to-end, from ideation and prototyping through to production deployment.
- Experience working in an enterprise or regulated environment; financial services experience is a strong advantage.
- Exposure to agile delivery methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
Would be an advantage:
- Previous experience in the development of AI-embedded solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into effective technical solutions.
- High attention to detail, particularly regarding data quality, security, and compliance requirements.
