In Risk IT we focus on making Eurex Clearing the industry leader in Risk Services / CCP Risk Management and to support the growth into new products and markets. We are looking for engineering talent for our team in Prague to solve challenging problems well.

 

 

We are developing containerized applications on Linux (Ubuntu) machines in Java, Kotlin and Go to be deployed in the OpenShift and Kubernetes clusters. Frontend is written in REACT/TypeScript. Code changes are tracked in Jira and versioned in GitHub, build process is running using GitHub Actions.

For our location in Prague, we are looking for a senior professional who will help us with integration of our application into new risk system - R7.

 

 

Your responsibilities:

 

  • Design, develop test, deploy maintain and improve various applications in agile environment – with focus on backend development in Go and Java
  • Update and maintain automated, highly available infrastructure and tooling when needed
  • Understand needs of business and translate them into working code
  • Manage your own project priorities, deadlines and deliverables
  • Collaborate with team members and project stakeholders

 

 

Your profile:

 

  • Programming competency in Go, Java, or Kotlin
  • Background in building applications on Linux
  • Familiarity with SQL databases (ORACLE, MySQL, Postgres)
  • A Master or PhD. degree in Computer Science, Math, or Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Experience in numerical modelling and developing high performance applications
  • Interest and ability to learn, collaborative working style
  • Ability to estimate efforts and meet the agreed timelines and deliverables
  • Experience in analysing of business requirements and collaboration with experts from various backgrounds
  • Experience in analysis of mathematical models and their transfer into working code
  • Good written and spoken English skills

 

 

Nice to have:

 

  • Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift
  • Experience with GitHub, CI/CD (Circle, GitHub Actions, or similar), Jira
  • A background in mathematics, financial markets, and risk management

 

 

Additionally, you need to be a team player with a sense of humour, good communication and collaboration skills, motivated and flexible.
