Senior Operational Buyer (f/m/d)

Deutsche Börse Group Procurement is evolving into an integrated, value-oriented and scalable global function. Prague plays a key role in this transformation as a central hub for operational procurement, standardized purchasing services and user support.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Operational Buyer who combines strong procurement expertise with commercial awareness, a service-oriented mindset and a high level of ownership.

In this role, you will manage complex operational purchasing activities, conduct tactical sourcing initiatives and contribute to efficient, compliant and reliable procurement services across Deutsche Börse Group. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, Category Management, Procurement Business Partners and suppliers in an international and regulated environment.

Your responsibilities

• Manage complex operational purchasing requests from demand clarification through ordering and follow-up
• Plan and execute tactical RFQs, supplier selections and commercial negotiations
• Advise internal stakeholders on procurement processes, tools, policies and buying channels
• Ensure the compliant use of contracts, framework agreements and approval requirements
• Coordinate suppliers and resolve operational delivery, ordering and invoice issues
• Monitor backlogs, cycle times, service quality and relevant operational KPIs
• Drive process standardization, automation, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement

The responsibilities reflect the mandate of Prague-based operational procurement, including standard buying, tactical RFQs, purchase-order and workflow support, user guidance, backlog management and service-quality assurance.

Your profile

• University degree in business, economics, supply chain management or a comparable field
• Several years of experience in operational procurement, tactical sourcing or purchasing
• Strong expertise in RFQs, supplier negotiations and purchase-to-pay processes
• Experience in an international, complex or regulated organization
• Strong commercial, analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Confident stakeholder communication, service orientation and a structured working style
• Fluent English; experience with SAP Ariba, ERP systems or other procurement platforms is an advantage
