Production Support Specialist - 2nd level (f/m/d)

Your area of work:

The Clearstream IT Operations department is operating for the Deutsche Börse AG the IT-infrastructure of the order routing procedures for the trading floor exchanges (Xontro) and providing the connected systems with real-time stock data for further processing.  

The IT-infrastructure is based on the IBM mainframe processors, which are also the platform for clearing and settlements, vault management and corporation-wide SWIFT message traffic. The Production Support unit is also operating the windows, Linux and mainframe applications for the Clearstream Banking Frankfurt AG, Clearstream Banking Luxembourg and the Brain Trade.

Your responsibilities:

Mainframe

• Production Support 2nd level for the applications in a 2-shift operation (Monday – Friday, 06 am – 10 pm)
• Support weekend activities including IPL's of mainframe systems, release launches, maintenance
• Maintenance and tuning of scheduled workloads
• Setup of mainframe monitoring using various tools like TOPX, XyMon, REXX, OpsGenie
• Application development support for new launches, change management, troubleshooting JCL / CA-7
• Mainframe capacity management upgrade / downgrade based on expected volume
• Support of setup of file transfer connections via Sterling Connect Direct, SFTP, NJE, RJE
• File transfer security setup user authorization and node encryption
• Setup of file transfers using the various file transfer tools
• Troubleshot file transfer or connection issues
• Output management using RMS, LDMS, CA-Spool
• Second Level Mainframe Support for any batch errors or delays

Cloud

• Support projects teams in Cloud based applications on GCP, Azure
• Environment preparation production releases GitHub, CyberArk Setup
• Setup cloud monitoring using various tools like GitHub, BMC Patrol, Dynatrace, UC4, AlertX, Shell Scripting
• Second Level Cloud Support for crashing pods, failing pipelines, project fixes, performance issues
• Deployment of cloud applications using Jenkins, ArgoCD, RedHat OpenShift console, GCP/Azure Portal

General

• On Call
• CRM7 software/release change management
• CRM7 incident management
• JIRA change management
• Microsoft Office

Your profile:

• At least 2 years of work experience in IT supporting area
• Experience with IBM mainframe processors and cloud technologies
• Knowledge of the following mainframe tools: JCL, CA7/CA11, TSO/ISPF, Beta92 
• Team player with good communication skills, highly motivated and flexible
• Proficiency in written and spoken English

Following experience is a plus:

• Experience with z/OS systems
• Knowledge of technology: RedHat Openshift, Azure, GCP, Github, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Artifactory, Kibana
• Monitoring tools: Prometheus / Grafana / Xymon 
• Experience with batch jobs, JCL, Shell scripting
• Knowledge of the following tools: RMS, LDMS, CA-Spool, REXX
• Knowledge of filetransfer products like Sterling Connect direct and SFTP
• University degree in the IT area
