Your area of work:

Core Infrastructure has the responsibility for the Networks, Connectivity, Virtualization and Data Center for Deutsche Börse Group. We operate out of Frankfurt, Luxembourg, Prague, Chicago and Zürich.

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer for our Network Operations team.

 

Network Operations operates, monitors and troubleshoots Deutsche Börse Group’s world-wide enterprise network and the Trading & Clearing network. As an integral part of daily operations, you will cooperate closely with your colleagues in Frankfurt, Luxembourg and Chicago.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Understand the connectivity portfolio of Deutsche Börse Group.
  • Build a strong relationship to interfacing units to achieve frictionless operations.
  • Ensure operational stability of the field of responsibility.
  • Support the digital transformation and further enable the team to perform infrastructure and network operations in a Hybrid world.
  • You actively strive for automation on recurring / repeating tasks.
  • Support of Hybrid Infrastructure Monitoring
  • Interact with customer and partners and consult on connectivity implementation.
  • Performing connectivity test (Network Layer 1-3) of new circuits/services together with customers and partners
  • Monitoring performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
  • Troubleshooting Deutsche Börse Group’s networks using Deutsche Börse Group’s proprietary tools.
  • Interact with 1st and 3rd level Network Teams within our organization.
  • Participate to an on-call support rotation outside of working hours, as well as occasional week-end work to implement changes on critical production environments.

 

Your profile:

  • IT education or relevant and proven experience in network operations.
  • At least 2 years of experience on similar position.
  • Good Knowledge of Cisco networking technologies and network devices management, CCNA/CCNP certification preferable.
  • Experience in high performance network topology.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong team player, ability to interact with providers, operators, vendors, and customers.
  • High level of integrity and discretion.
  • Highly organized and meticulous, highly committed to quality. High self-responsibility and sense of ownership.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
