Java Developer - production support (f/m/d)

Your area of work:

Deutsche Börse Group is one of the largest exchange organizations worldwide. As a financial marketplace organizer, the company provides a portfolio of services covering the entire process chain: securities and derivatives trading and clearing, netting and transaction settlement, risk management, custodian services and provision of market information.

We are looking for JAVA software developer to join the Clearstream Funds development team (CFS) to work on a customer reference data application called Hydrogen. The application is in production since end of 2022 and was built as a greenfield project. From business point of view, the application is used to maintain Investment Fund’s reference data, Due Diligence data and linked workflows. It is Java Spring application deployed into JBoss server in Openshift cluster into GCP. For persistence layer Hibernate and Oracle database is used. For the application communication with other systems AMQ or APIs are used. The GUI is developed in Angular using npm and TypeScript. We use Git, JIRA, Maven and Liquibase to support our SCRUM development and Jenkins, Sonar, JUnit and Cucumber tests in our integration.

Your responsibilities:

• Working in international multilocation environment
• Design and development of the CFS application(s) using Java and various frameworks
• Analysis of business requirements and implementing them into the application(s)
• Application(s) maintenance, improvements and production support

Your profile:

• Practical experience with SW development (3 years or more)
• Practical experience with development of standard & enterprise Java applications (2 years or more)
• Experience with Spring (Framework, Boot, Security, Data, Integration)
• Experience with SQL databases 
• Experience with Java EE backend technology e.g. JPA (Hibernate), JMS (AMQ, OAQ), EJB
• Must be a responsible and reliable team player with good communication skills
• Critical thinking, the ability to identify problems and propose solutions
• English is mandatory and this includes good English writing skill

Would be an advantage:

• Experience with Frontend technologies, ideally Angular 12+, npm, TypeScript, RxJs
• Experience with version control (GIT, GitHub) and issue tracking (JIRA) systems
• Java EE Application Servers e.g. WebLogic / JBoss
• Knowledge of testing tools such as Junit, Mocking Frameworks, Cucumber
