The Cash ICSD & Data unit develops, maintains, and supports critical applications related to cash payments and reconciliations. We ensure to Business and Operation teams seamless operations, reliability, and security of financial systems, playing a vital role in the success of our organization and satisfaction of our stakeholders.
We are actively seeking a skilled and motivated Back-End Developer with expertise Java and Oracle database to join our team. The candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining, enhancing, and providing top-tier production support for Clearstream's critical applications in the Cash Payment industry. This involves ensuring the seamless operation, reliability, and continuous improvement of these vital systems, thereby contributing significantly to the organization's success and the satisfaction of our stakeholders.
Your responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance: Play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our Cash Payment system.
- Error handling and logging: Implement comprehensive error handling and logging mechanisms to ensure thorough monitoring and debugging of applications.
- Security best practices: Adhere to best practices in application security, implementing necessary measures to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Unit testing: Conduct thorough unit testing to deliver high-quality, bug-free software.
- Code reviews: Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality, provide feedback, and promote a collaborative development environment.
- Performance optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the back-end systems, optimizing code and database queries to enhance overall application performance.
- Continuous learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in back-end development and apply them to enhance development processes.
- Technical documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for projects, including architectural diagrams, APIs, and coding standards.
- Production support: Provide production support for critical applications, including monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing fixes to ensure continuous operation.
- Stand-by support: Be available for stand-by support for critical applications, responding to and addressing any emergencies or incidents that may occur outside regular working hours.
Your profile:
- Practical experience with SW development (2 years or more)
- Strong proficiency in Java programming with hands-on experience with WebLogic and Oracle database. Java 17 programming experience is advantageous.
- Experience in production and standby support.
- Ability to work with UNIX environments, including command-line operations and scripting.
- Experience with DevOps deployment technologies like: Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Tekton.
- Familiarity with Oracle database concepts and hands-on experience with SQL commands.
- A master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field is mandatory.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English, Czech is advantageous.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- A passion for learning and improving coding skills and keeping up-to-date with industry trends.
- Good problem-solving skills with ability to analyze complex technical challenges and provide effective solutions.
