Junior middleware administrator (f/m/d)

Your area of work:

We are looking for a Junior middleware administrator interested in building engaging and insightful products for managing large scale distributed system like Kubernetes - Openshift, Kafka, A-MQ systems. As junior middleware administrator you will contribute to deliver middleware solutions (Kubernetes, Kafka, A-MQ platforms) for the deployment of the containerized Clearstream business applications using automation (like GitOps approach, Terraform…).

Your responsibilities:

• Setup and maintenance of large Clearstream Kubernetes/Openshift clusters for all the different environments (from development to production) – on-premises as well as in the Cloud (Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure).
• Design/documentation/knowledge transfer on GitOps operating models for infrastructure and applications
• Setup of secured internet facing connectivity solutions based on Apache webserver
• Support and investigation of infrastructure/security setup issues in all environments (dev/test/prod)
• Design/development/deployment of automated solutions on the Kubernetes/OpenShift platform

Your profile:

• You have successfully completed your university degree in computer science or have relevant work experience related to IT container technology
• Minimum 1y of work experience in IT development or IT system administration
• Linux/ Bash scripting, Basic Network background, SSL/TLS certificate management
• Collaboration through version control software (GitHub is a plus)
• At least one Cloud provider (Azure, GCP) background
• Kafka knowledge / experience from platform administration view is a plus
• Kubernetes background (ArgoCD, Tekton, Helm, Terraform, Service Mesh, Openshift knowledge are a plus)
• Any development skills in Python, Golang, Java is a plus
• Independent work method, high commitment to delivery, high self-responsibility & ownership, communication and analytical capabilities
• Willingness to learn, open for new technologies and new IT trends
• Ability to work in a multi-national team in multi-disciplinary team
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
