Clearstream, part of Deutsche Börse Group, is seeking a talented Functional Analyst & Tester to join our T2S-I, Settlement & Sanctions team in Prague. 

 

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of the post-trade industry, supporting systems that enable the secure and efficient processing of securities transactions across global financial markets. You will act as a bridge between business and technology teams, ensuring that new functionalities are properly specified, thoroughly tested, and successfully delivered to our clients and stakeholders. 

 

Your responsibilities:

As a Functional Analyst & Tester, you will contribute to the analysis, validation, and implementation of business and technology solutions across our settlement platforms. 

  • Collaborating with Business, Operations, and Development teams to analyze, prepare, and validate system enhancements and changes. 
  • Gathering, documenting, reviewing, and refining functional and system requirements. 
  • Defining functional acceptance criteria and establishing effective testing approaches. 
  • Performing functional, integration, and end-to-end testing to ensure the highest standards of quality and reliability. 
  • Identifying, documenting, tracking, and reporting defects and issues throughout the testing lifecycle. 
  • Supporting clients and stakeholders during testing activities and implementation phases. 
  • Contributing to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) preparation and execution. 
  • Preparing training materials and supporting internal user training sessions. 
  • Presenting functional topics, test results, and project updates to team members and stakeholders. 
  • Following established methodologies, governance, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Supporting strategic IT projects and business initiatives within the Settlement domain. 

 

Your profile:

  • University degree or equivalent professional qualification and experience.  
  • 2-3 years of experience as a Functional Analysis, Business Analysis, or Testing within the financial services industry. 
  • Experience in Securities settlement, custody, back-office operations within a financial institution
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases, XML processing and data analysis 
  • Experience with Use-case modeling and business process analysis 
  • Experience with SWIFT messaging standards and post-trade processing 
  • Experience with Securities settlement and market infrastructure environments 
  • Experience with AI-powered tools and technologies that enhance analysis, testing, and productivity 
  • Experience with collaboration and project management tools such as Jira and GitHub.  
  • Strong interest in Information Technology and financial systems.  
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.  
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.  
  • Proven ability to understand, structure, and communicate complex topics to diverse audiences.  
  • Collaborative team player with a positive, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.  
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
