Functional Analyst (f/m/d)

Your responsibilities:

  • Work with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, acceptance criteria, and user stories.
  • Collaborate with product owners, developers, and testers to ensure requirements are well‑understood and aligned across teams.
  • Validate that delivered solutions meet functional and business objectives.
  • Create, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, regression, and integration testing.
  • Perform manual testing
  • Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Jira, and follow up with developers to ensure timely resolution.
  • Support UAT by preparing scenarios, coordinating with business users, and providing required documentation.
  • Ensure proper traceability from requirements to test coverage.

 

Your profile:

  • 3+ years of combined experience in Quality Assurance and Functional Analyst roles.
  • Ability to create clear functional specifications, acceptance criteria, and test documentation.
  • Experience with test management and defect‑tracking tools such as Jira, XRay, or similar.
  • SQL (Working Knowledge): Able to write basic to intermediate queries for data validation and backend checks.
  • API Testing: Experience using tools such as Postman or Swagger for testing interfaces and integrations.
  • JSON/XML: Ability to interpret and validate structured data for integrations and API responses.
  • Understanding of system interactions: Ability to read and interpret data flows, interface behaviours, and dependencies.
  • Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and QA testing methodologies.
  • Version Control Awareness: Basic understanding of Git (e.g., reviewing changes, understanding branches).
  • Experience in financial services or other regulated environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, able to work with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum frameworks and collaborative team environments.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
