DevOps Engineer

Your area of work: 

The Deutsche Börse Group product “Data” provides technology enabled services helping business to digitize and navigate financial markets with increased agility and insight. By extracting and deploying the right information at the right time, data is transformed into value. Data will be the new “Gold”. You will be part of a build and run team being responsible for Index services. You should foster an innovative environment embracing agile applications and software development for Index Services premises and in the cloud environment. As well as ensure that maximum service level is provided to customers on a 24-hour basis.

Your responsibilities:

• Ensuring Optimal Production Environment Uptime with Cross-Team Coordination:
  You facilitate collaboration between development, operations and Infrastructure teams across different locations.
• Create program specifications and basic prototypes. (C++)
• Collaborate with business analysts and other developers to produce software designs
• Transform software designs and specifications into high functioning code in the appropriate language
• Integrate individual software solutions into higher level systems
• Use web-based tools to create advanced SaaS when applicable
• Test code to ensure it produces the desirable results and perform debugging when necessary
• Execute software deployments and provide production support
• Perform upgrades to make software and systems more secure and efficient
• Collaborate with technical writers to create documentation for user support

Your profile:

• Responsive, organized, curious, proactive, ability to work in a team with a service-oriented attitude
• 2+ years of practical experience as a DevOps Engineer
• Coding and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
• Practical experience in developing software in C++
• Familiarity with development and scripting under Unix/Linux
• Cloud administration and build-outs (GCP, Azure, AWS)
• Terraform, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), and scripting
• Hands-on experience with rational databases like Oracle DB or PostgreSQL
• You must be fluent in both written and spoken English
