Data Analyst - Collateral & Repo Clearing Design (w/m/d)

Date: 25 Feb 2026

Location: Prague, CZ

Company: Deutsche Börse Group

Your area of work

Eurex Clearing AG is one of the world’s leading central counterparties (CCPs), safeguarding market integrity while driving innovation in risk management, clearing technology, and client asset protection. We provide fully automated post-trade services for derivatives, securities, and secured funding & financing, and operate industry-leading risk management technologies. Eurex Clearing AG is part of Deutsche Börse Group.

The Collateral & Repo Clearing Design unit is responsible for the functional design of the collateral management system, clearing services for the repo market, and the eligibility framework for securities collateral. We are seeking a mid-level data analyst with hands-on experience in securities reference data, a strong analytical mindset, and an interest in data-driven product design and AI. The role suits professionals who already understand post-trade processes and financial instruments and who want to expand their expertise in a modern, data-centric environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Leverage our data landscape: Apply Data Lake and Data Mesh concepts to drive process improvements, enhance reporting, and develop decision-ready dashboards (e.g., in Power BI, Databricks) for leaders and colleagues.

  • Analyze and optimize workflows: Identify opportunities to improve, (partially) automate, or AI-enhance existing processes. Translate business questions into data-driven analyses and communicate results clearly to stakeholders.

  • Work with securities reference data — including instrument attributes, eligibility criteria, and lifecycle aspects — as owner of the eligibility framework, collaborating with Operations, Risk, Product Development, Tax, and IT.

  • Contribute to a legacy migration: Support the migration of a securities master-data-based legacy application to a modern data platform. This includes testing, validation, and implementation activities, guided by Data Mesh principles and executed in partnership with IT and business teams to ensure accurate reflection of business requirements.

  • Evolve functional designs: Specify, prioritize, and support enhancements for applications handling securities reference data, ensuring alignment with business and regulatory requirements.

  • Safeguard quality: Ensure data integrity and consistency, maintain clear documentation (user stories, functional and technical specifications, test cases), and contribute to QA, testing, and release management.

Your Profile

  • University degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field – or comparable qualification – with several years of relevant experience in Data Management, Data Analytics, Data Governance or similar.
  • Good understanding of data-driven environments (e.g., Data Lake or Data Mesh) and Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI; Databricks); initial experience with large datasets or reporting environments.
  • Strong analytical skills to extract insights and support decision-making; practical expertise in Python, SQL, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Databricks).
  • Experience working with large and complex data sets (structured and unstructured) as well as knowledge of database systems, data modeling, and integration patterns (e.g., APIs).
  • Proven experience with data management and cataloguing, including data lifecycle management, metadata management, data architecture principles, and data quality management.
  • Financial markets know-how: solid understanding of financial instruments, especially securities and their master data attributes; familiarity with clearing and settlement processes is a plus.
  • Initial understanding of AI concepts (machine learning, deep learning, generative AI/LLMs); hands-on experience with AI-enabled tools is a plus.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills and an analytical, solution-oriented, reliable working style.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken), German is an advantage.
