Group Credit`s overriding objective is to ensure that business activities are conducted within a prudent credit risk framework that is consistent with the bank’s credit appetite and in compliance with regulatory and supervisory requirements. We are searching for a Credit Officer to support us in credit risk monitoring and reporting tasks across the range of business activities, ensuring that the level of credit risk is in accordance with the bank’s credit policies, underwriting standards and regulatory requirements.

As part of the group wide Credit team, a successful candidate will work closely with credit teams in Luxembourg, ensure the maintenance and accuracy of critical credit and collateral data available in the various system of controls while targeting higher efficiencies in the various tasks and processes.

 

 

Tasks/responsibilities:

 

  • Upon request from internal stakeholders, promptly review blocked customers’ instructions while ensuring strict adherence to credit policies, procedures and deadlines.
  • Maintain various credit and collateral data in the systems of records. Perform accuracy checks and controls.
  • Monitor and report collateral concentrations, correlations, and customers’ exposures across the range of credit risk generating activities. Investigate and escalate potential breaches.
  • Contribute to the review, upgrade and development of credit procedures and guidelines. Maintain credit risk and credit risk reporting inventory.
  • Targeting maximum efficiency, contribute to the continuous review and improvement of processes as well as to the definition, documentation, and implementation of new ones.
  • In close collaboration with Luxembourg Credit, IT developers and Functional Analysts, work on the maintenance, concepts/design, testing and implementation of new and existing credit tools.
  • Deliver insightful information in support of senior management and committee review.
  • Manage communication with the relevant stakeholders, by providing timely high-quality, reliable credit service and expertise.

 

 

Qualifications/required skills

 

  • University degree in Business, Accountancy or Banking & Finance
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to draw accurate conclusions and provide well-grounded recommendations.
  • Good understanding of financial instruments, market and credit risk concepts. Knowledge of the process of clearing and settlement is an advantage.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, creativity, proven ability to conceptualize and execute solutions.
  • High commitment, solid communication and presentation skills, ability to operate across various functions and business areas.
  • Highly motivated, proactive attitude, willing to work in shifts and assume additional assignments
  • Adequate command of MS Access, familiarity with Power BI and Power apps is an advantage
  • Very good command of English is mandatory, the knowledge of German and French is an advantage
