Your area of work:
As an Asset Services Officer you play a critical role in the overall functioning of Asset Services when it comes to efficiency, efficacy and compliance with all applicable rules and regulations. This role requires close collaboration with all Operational teams in Eschborn, Luxembourg, Prague and Singapore. In addition, close interactions with Projects impacting Asset Services, Business Management, Client facing teams, Product Management as well as with 2nd and 3rd Line of Defence.
Your responsibilities:
- The Asset Services Officer is expected to, but not limited to:
- Intervene in case of need in complex, pressing files.
- Review processes that have been identified as weak during internal or external audits, compliance, risk assurance or internal reviews and implement and follow up on required changes.
- Assure a streamlined way of processing events across the different locations via regular reviews with the colleagues in other locations.
- Act as the Center of Reference in Asset Services by sharing the knowledge and enhance the operational knowledge across all Asset Services Areas (Corporate Actions, Income and Tax).
- Create and update procedures and manuals.
- Create and update training materials in Asset Services for both newcomers and externals.
- Represent operations in Depository changes, Market changes, including Regulatory topics, market practices in for a such as ICMSA, SMPG, ECSDA etc.
- Represent Asset Services during Service Reviews with Depositories, Local Partners and other Service Providers.
- Support the operational readiness related activities (for example conference call or/and workshops with clients regarding Request for Proposals).
- Contribute to the preparation of business testing related activities e.g. Business Acceptance criteria and lead the execution of business acceptance testing.
Your profile:
- University Degree in Business, Finance, Economics.
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in the banking industry with a sound knowledge of Asset Services (Corporate Actions, Income and Tax)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Self-motivated and proactive - ability to tackle challenges as they arise. Strong team player, collaboratively working across the Clearstream Group.
- Strong analytical skills, critical mind set and ability to solve complex problems
- Proficiency in written and spoken English;
- Superior technical skills: proficient in the use of MS-Office applications; advanced working knowledge of Excel.
- Regular travel other locations will be required.
