In your new position as a Cloud FinOps Analyst, you will support our IT Cloud Financial Management and Optimization Unit to monitor, steer and optimize Cloud costs. The team is embedded in the Chief of Staff/ IT strategy department.

The Chief of Staff/ IT strategy department supports the leadership team in financial steering across the CIO/COO organization. It is the interface between the Division management, the corporate central functions, and the various market business segments of Deutsche Börse Group. Being the main interface to the central functions of the group, the Chief of Staff/ IT strategy department is responsible for effective and efficient interface management and the development of well-structured solutions as decision proposals.

Your responsibilities:

 

  • Support in the definition and implementation of our FinOps Strategy
  • Financial Management and Cost optimization
  • Cloud Cost Forecasting and Budgeting: Support cloud budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes to ensure cloud expenses are predictable and within budget
  • Drive further transparency on cloud usage and cost drivers across teams and services
  • Support the cost allocation and chargeback process to ensure teams are accountable for their cloud usage
  • Cost control and operational efficiency
  • Cost optimization and reduction: Support cost reduction measures, such as optimization of underutilized or over-provisioned resources, and recommend actions like rightsizing or further reserved instance commitment
  • Further improve resource usage management process including tagging quality improvement
  • Monitor and mitigate cost anomalies

 

 

Your profile:

 

  • Academic degree in economics, finance or similar degree in a relevant field of expertise
  • Understanding of the core Finance & Accounting principles, basic understanding of the accounting processes (budgeting, accruals, etc.)
  • Knowledge and understanding of Public Cloud pricing schemes
  • Experience with native and 3rd party Public Cloud cost management & advisory tools (mainly Cloudability)
  • Independent way of working and a high sense of responsibility in task delivery and result orientation
  • Customer-oriented and solution-driven working methods
  • Excellent knowledge of English in speaking and writing, German is a plus
