Operating within a dynamic, client- and technology-oriented environment, you will lead the preparation of financial statements and long-form reports while ensuring the seamless day-to-day operation of the team. The ideal candidate should possess an in-depth understanding of Financial Accounting and Clearstream Business, engaging in diverse accounting operations, group-wide consolidation, and the closing process.

 

Moreover, as a key liaison between the accounting team and top management, you will provide regular updates, insights, and strategic recommendations. Dive into deep analyses of regulatory requirements, crafting accounting memos, and position papers. In summary, you will play a vital role in supporting the team lead and the head of finance on a regular basis.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Deep knowledge of IFRS and LuxGAAP.

  • Support Regulatory reporting (FINREP)

  • Consolidation at the holding level

  • Experience in preparing position paper and accounting memos.

  • Provide analysis for the financial statements and ad hoc project.

  • Liaise with auditors (internal and external), preparing requested analyses and documentation, advising on activities, and jointly reviewing the long-form audit report.

  • Management of the day-to-day relationship with all stakeholders

  • Update accounting policies and procedures as necessary

  • Analyse supervisory topics and implement within the Clearstream sub-group.

  • Consultancy / support of projects / initiatives with relation to accounting and regulatory topics

 

Your profile:

  • University degree in business administration or economics majoring in accountancy, regulatory compliance, or banking; equivalent qualifications also considered (CFA, CPA, ACCA etc.).

  • Minimum 10 years of practical experience on described topics in the finance industry or audit company.

  • Good knowledge of accounting regimes (IFRS and Lux-GAAP) and financial regulations.

  • Excellent communication skills to manage multitude and diversity of stakeholders including top management.

  • Ability to work in a team and within a multicultural, multi-location international environment with a matrix organization

  • Solid IT skills, especially MS-Office applications and SAP

  • Proficiency in verbal and written English and French; German language skill is an asset
