Join one of the world’s leading international clearing and settlement organizations and take on a senior role within our Financial Accounting team. In a dynamic, client-focused, and technology-driven environment, you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks for various Clearstream entities. You will play a key part in our accounting operations, contribute to critical closing processes, and support legal entity reporting in a challenging and rewarding role.
Your responsibilities:
- Business As Usual (BAU): Oversee and ensure the smooth execution of daily financial accounting operations, maintaining stability and accuracy.
- Financial closing: Drive the monthly and quarterly closing processes and prepare trial balance reconciliations to ensure timely and precise financial reporting.
- Annual Accounts: Lead the preparation and coordination of assigned annual accounts in accordance with both Lux GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Audit coordination: Serve as a primary contact for internal and external audits, preparing detailed analyses and documentation while effectively advising auditors on business activities.
- Internal Controls & Policy: Guarantee that all accounting activities are performed in strict alignment with internal controls. Ensure the proper application of accounting policies and contribute to updating procedures as necessary.
- Ad-hoc projects: Provide in-depth analysis for financial statements and participate in, or potentially lead, various ad-hoc projects to drive process improvements and support business initiatives.
- General ledger integrity: Ensure the completeness and accuracy of the general ledger chart of accounts and review reporting packages on a quarterly and annual basis.
Your profile:
- Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or Accountancy.
- Experience: A minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience, ideally gained within a banking institution or a major audit firm.
- Technical knowledge: Strong knowledge of IFRS and Lux GAAP is essential. Familiarity with bank accounting standards is a significant advantage.
- IT skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is required. Experience with SAP is highly desirable.
- Languages: Excellent command of written and spoken English is mandatory. Proficiency in French and/or German will be considered a strong asset.
