Location: Luxembourg, LU
Company: Deutsche Börse Group
Your area of work:
As a Product Architect, you will be responsible for the functional architecture, coherence, and scalability of one of FundsDLT’s core product areas.
FundsDLT is a next-generation market infrastructure for fund distribution, leveraging Distributed Ledger Technology to modernise Transfer Agency, Digital Dealing, and related fund distribution services. In this role, you will ensure that complex client, business, operational, regulatory, and integration needs are translated into scalable product capabilities aligned with the long-term product vision.
You will work closely with Product & Engineering, Client Solutions, Product Owners / Head of squads, Technical Architects, Engineering, Client Solutions, and Project Management to ensure the product evolves in a structured, reusable, configurable, and sustainable way.
Your responsibilities:
- Define, maintain, and evolve the target functional model of the product.
- Build and maintain the product capability map.
- Identify key business concepts, workflows, rules, dependencies, and areas of variability.
- Ensure product evolutions remain coherent across functional domains, squads, and delivery streams.
- Translate client, business, operational, regulatory, integration, and digital asset infrastructure needs into reusable product capabilities.
- Ensure blockchain, shared ledger, tokenisation, and digital asset infrastructure concepts are reflected in a clear and scalable product model.
- Determine whether requests should become standard product behaviour, configurable options, reusable integration patterns, temporary exceptions, or should be deferred or reframed.
- Challenge bespoke client requests when they create unnecessary product complexity or non-scalable customisation.
- Identify cross-domain impacts and dependencies early.
- Facilitate alignment between Product Owners / Heads of Squads when several functional domains are impacted.
- Support Product Owners by providing a clear product architecture framework for domain-level decisions.
- Contribute to roadmap structuring, sequencing, and change impact analysis from a product architecture perspective.
- Define principles for standardisation, configuration, customisation, onboarding, and integration patterns.
- Work with Technical Architects to align functional architecture with technical feasibility, platform constraints and blockchain/DLT design implications.
- Maintain key product architecture documentation, including capability maps, core workflows, functional rules, configuration principles, integration patterns, and major product decisions, ensuring it remains clear, up to date
Your profile:
- University degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 7+ years of experience in Product Architecture, Functional Architecture, Senior Product Ownership, Product Management, Business Architecture, or Solution Architecture with a strong product orientation (ideally within a B2B SaaS or Fintech environment).
- Strong awareness of blockchain, tokenisation, DLT, shared ledger concepts, APIs, integrations, cloud/SaaS platforms, data flows, interoperability, and release constraints; fluent English required.
- Strong ability to model complex workflows, business rules, product capabilities, and functional dependencies.
- Experience with complex B2B SaaS platform in at least one of these areas : fintech, market infrastructure, post-trade, asset servicing, fund distribution, or digital assets / tokenisation
- Strong understanding of standardisation, configuration, scalability, and multi-client product design.
- Ability to distinguish between client-specific requests and reusable product capabilities.
- Experience working with multiple squads, functional domains, and cross-functional delivery teams.
- Strong analytical, structuring, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to challenge constructively and influence without direct hierarchical authority.
- Pragmatic, delivery-aware mindset.
- Strong financial services domain understanding; TA / Digital Dealing exposure is a strong plus, but deep SME expertise is not mandatory if the person can quickly build domain fluency.
