Clearstream is an international financial institution offering post-trade infrastructure and securities services for markets worldwide with more than €16 trillion in assets under custody and 2,500 customers in 110 countries. Clearstream Information Security (IS) second line of defense organization is responsible for information security governance, risk management and oversight, assurance, and compliance activities worldwide for legal entities, branches, and representative offices in scope with direct reporting lines to the corresponding executive boards. As an Intern - Information Security 2LOD you will learn about the enterprise Information Security Framework and get the opportunity to support the team in the delivery of IS Second Line of Defense activities including support overseeing risk profile and controls effectiveness in accordance with internal policies and regulatory expectations.  

Your responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the team and various stakeholders in IT to monitor effective implementation of needed security measures.

  • Support the delivery of risk assurance activities.

  • Support in conducting risk and vulnerability assessments of planned and installed information systems

  • Support in overseeing remediation activities and resolution of issues.

  • Review the root-causes of security breaches and incidents, research and recommend changes to information security framework to strengthen policy requirements.

  • Contribute into security awareness.  

 

Your profile:

  • You are enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's Degree program with a recognized institution focusing on computer science, network security, or business informatics and can provide an internship agreement, OR have graduated with a Bachelor's degree or similar for no more than 6 months.

  • Candidates should have a breadth of security technologies, risks, and security best practices.

  • Knowledge of information security risk management frameworks (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001/27002, COBIT, NIST, CIS, etc.) is an asset.

  • Motivated, dynamic, eager to learn and can adapt fast in a complex and high value-added driven environment.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team and to collaborate across multiple teams in a multicultural environment.

  • Ability to work on multiple tasks with a high level of rigor and accuracy, while respecting strict deadlines.

  • Strong command of MS Office applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint) is a must.

  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.

  • Knowledge of French and/or German is an asset.

 

Start date: 15th June 2024

Duration: 3 to 6 months full-time (depending on availability)
