The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) area is at the heart of the Information Technology division of Deutsche Börse Group. The CTO area develops and operates the group-wide IT infrastructure (network, data centers and cloud), the Group Data & Advanced Analytics and the Enterprise Architecture which significantly contribute to Deutsche Börse Group overall strategy. The CTO area drives digital transformation and leverages innovation while keeping production operations stable are the core pillars of the shared services.
We are looking for a motivated and creative intern (UX/UI designer) to join our team. In this role, you will primarily focus on UI design for our flagship product – the DBG Data & Analytics Marketplace – as well as contribute to smaller projects. You will work closely with our product and data science teams to create intuitive, visually appealing interfaces that enhance user experience. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment and contribute to impactful digital products in the financial industry, where data and analytics play a critical role.
Your responsibilities:
- Support the team to design and refine user interfaces for web-based applications, primarily using Figma.
- Collaborate with product managers and developers to translate requirements into engaging UI designs.
- Help ensure consistency with design guidelines and maintain a high standard of usability.
- Support UX activities such as wireframing and prototyping when needed.
- Contribute to improve the overall user experience and visual design.
- Assist in preparing design assets and documentation for development handover.
Your profile:
- You must be enrolled in a Bachelor or Master’s degree in an IT related discipline and can provide an internship agreement, OR have graduated with a Bachelor's degree or similar for no more than 6 months
- Strong interest in UI design; basic understanding of UX principles is a plus.
- Proficiency in Figma and familiarity with modern design tools and workflows.
- Ability to create clean, user-friendly, and visually appealing designs.
- Basic understanding of the financial industry and interest in data-driven products.
- Detail-oriented, creative, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, fluent in English. German is a plus.
