Your area of work:

As data protection trainee, you will be part of the compliance team. The Compliance Function works closely with the individual business units and group control functions to ensure compliance with local and international laws and regulations applicable to Deutsche Börse Group and its business activities. The Compliance Function has a proactive role in the identification of possible regulatory or reputational risks, including those that may arise in connection with new activities and products. Compliance Function works in collaboration with Group Compliance which is responsible for defining group-wide compliance minimum applicable requirements, supports their uniform application within the group entities, and provides centralised services to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing, international financial sanctions, other criminal offences, data protection, and the prevention of conflict of interests or market abuse.You will be actively involved in the processes, and get diverse, interesting, and challenging tasks. Additionally, you will assist us with the varied and extensive responsibilities related to national and international data protection, in the context of the EU General Data Protection Regulation.We are seeking a motivated Data Protection Trainee to join our team. The successful candidate will work together with the DPO.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • You support the data protection area to ensure compliance with data protection regulations within Clearstream Fund Centre S.A..

  • You work on internal and external data protection inquiries.

  • You assist in creating analyses and reports on current data protection topics.

  • You also support the organization and implementation of data protection training.

  • Project-related activities, as well as administrative and organizational tasks, are part of your responsibilities.

 

Your profile:

  • You are enrolled as a regular student (ideally studying law, information law, (business) informatics, or a comparable program with a focus on data protection or IT law).

  • You have a real interest in data protection and the financial industry.

  • Your qualities include commitment, independence, accuracy, good organizational and communication skills, and teamwork.

  • You have excellent knowledge of MS Office applications (especially Excel and PowerPoint).

  • You have high ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity.

  • You possess very good English language skills, both written and spoken. (French and/or German is a plus).
