Your area of work:

As part of the newly established team, you will support the roll-out of data governance program across multiple business segments and streams, assisting businesses during the onboarding process, as well as supporting creation of respective communications to ensure good cross-functional alignment. The internship involves an intersection of experience between communication strategy, building expertise in technology – combined with the niche expertise in the evolving field of data management and governance.

 

Your responsibilities: 

  • Support development of internal webpage for Data Governance communication - including creation of data governance awareness sessions (interactive material and use cases, educational knowledge base).
  • Prepare communication drafts, memos and tailored content for internal employee engagement network, promoting understanding and awareness among staff – on Data Governance key concepts and building blocks.  
  • Support core team in Data governance concepts roll-out (Critical Data Elements, Data Governance Workflows, Data Quality). Create, review, and maintain relevant documentation.
  • Support preparation of workshops with cross-functional stakeholder groups (domain owners, data stewards, data custodians) - to capture data governance challenges and use cases.  Accompany onboarding into data governance and management tooling.
  • Coordinate with business, tech and other relevant functions to support data governance training development and preparation – to drive alignments and common understanding of core concepts, operating model, workflows and collaboration models between the teams.
  • Assist in management reporting preparation, project management tasks and ad-hoc assessments, as required.

 

Your profile:

  • You are enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's Degree programme with a recognized institution focusing on Financial Markets, Data and Technologies and can provide an internship agreement, OR have graduated with a Bachelor's degree or similar for no more than 6 months
  • Comfortable with creating graphics, presentations and managing communication channels.
  • Sound judgement, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, research skills.
  • Ability to explain complex matters in a succinct and intuitive way.
  • Proactiveness, willingness to take responsibility and learn quickly. Result-oriented approach to work. 
  • High commitment, team spirit, good interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, French and/or German will be an asset.
