As an intern in our team you will have the excellent opportunity to explore risk topics related to credit and to gain valuable practical experience in an innovative company. Within the Risk, Credit and Compliance area, the Credit Monitoring team’s purpose is to monitor the overall credit risks so that developments that could jeopardize the interests of Clearstream can be identified and suitable countermeasures can be deployed. Our activity also involves around ensuring compliance with the main regulations governing Credit and the specific activity of Clearstream. You will be actively taking part in our processes. As an intern, you will be offered learning opportunities with interesting and challenging tasks in a diverse and dynamic team.
Tasks/ responsibilities:
- Contribute to generate analyses and documents regarding credit monitoring processes.
- Support the identification of credit risks and breaches.
- Understand and participate in the monitoring processes (daily, weekly and monthly) and ongoing projects (e.g. systems enhancements testing).
- Help improve the team's processes, documentation and working practices by identifying practical enhancements and sharing ideas.
- Documents management and administrative tasks.
- Assist on research and assess the impact of new regulatory requirements, laws or circulars on the team’s activity (e.g. ESG impact).
- The tasks above can be adapted to your profile and interest.
Qualifications/required skills:
- You are enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program with a recognized institution and can provide an internship agreement, OR have graduated with a bachelor’s degree or similar for no more than 6 months.
- Candidates from various academic disciplines are welcome, provided they can demonstrate a meaningful connection between their studies or research interests and the team's field of activity.
- We are looking for candidates who are curious, eager to learn, open to feedback and motivated to develop their understanding of credit risk and financial markets.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain findings clearly are essential.
- The role requires a high level of reliability, focus and attention to detail.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (MS Excel, Power Point etc.) good command of MS Excel is a must.
- Basic knowledge of credit concepts (limits, assessments, exposure, collateral), and of Clearstream’s banking activity is desired.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Start date: from 1 Nov 2026 and not later than 1 Dec 2026
