Functional Analyst - IT Settlement team (f/m/d)

Your area of work:
As a Functional Analyst, you will play a key role within the Settlement IT Team. You will contribute to the growth of Clearstream by ensuring that new Settlement functionalities are accurately specified and successfully implemented. Your main responsibilities will include translating business requirements into detailed specifications for developers, testing the resulting deliveries, and supporting their implementation. You will also contribute to various IT projects and programs across the organization.
Your responsibilities:
Analyse
- Review, understand, analyse, and comment on business requirements.
- Identify and describe impacts on other projects, business processes, and systems.
- Act as an interface between business teams and IT development.
- Create detailed functional and system requirements, including the ability to write SRAs.
- Define deliverables, establish planning, and follow up on progress in line with the project plan.
- Actively support the resolution of functional issues during the Specification Phase.
Test and Validate
- Define Functional Acceptance Criteria and test approaches.
- Produce, document, execute, and validate test cases.
- Provide detailed reporting on test progress, including documentation of software defects.
- Collaborate with business and IT teams to facilitate the resolution of issues and defects during System Testing and BAT.
Implement
- Support production issue resolution and provide guidance on system behaviour to address customer queries.
- Assist and advise customers during their testing activities.
- Prepare and support internal user and customer training.
- Deliver presentations to end users on functional topics.
- Follow prescribed methodologies throughout all stages of the project lifecycle.
Your profile:
- University degree or an equivalent professional qualification or experience.
- 2–3 years of experience in a financial‑institution back office or as a functional/business analyst within the securities and cash industry.
- Strong interest in Information Technology.
- Excellent organisational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive and proactive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and deliver high‑quality results in a team environment.
- Solid PC literacy, including experience with collaboration tools such as Jira and GitHub; strong knowledge of SQL, databases, and use‑case modelling.
- Proven ability to meet demanding project deadlines and deliver in a fast‑moving, change‑oriented environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English; French or German language skills are considered an asset.
