Your area of work: 

Group Credit Management`s overriding objective is to ensure that business activities are conducted within a prudent credit risk framework that is consistent with the bank’s credit appetite and in compliance with regulatory and supervisory requirements. This role involves performing monitoring activities, and reporting across various business lines, to ensure that credit risk remains within the defined appetite and regulatory framework. The position requires a solid understanding of credit risk principles, regulatory requirements, as well as analytical tools. The successful candidate will contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of monitoring processes as well as our relevant  IT systems and provide informed recommendations to management.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Monitor and report exposures across the range of credit risk generating activities, ensuring strict adherence to policies and procedures. Investigate and escalate potential breaches.
  • Review counterparties’ compliance with credit and collateral limits on a daily basis.
  • Monitor and report on Early Warning Signals. Identify risks or crisis and provide actionable proposals.
  • Prepare management and regulatory reporting.
  • Contribute to the maintenance, improvements and development of internal policies, procedures and guidelines. Maintain governing documents and reporting inventory.
  • Contribute to the implementation of enhancements to the methodologies and processes.
  • Work on the maintenance, design, testing and implementation of new and existing credit tools. Support IT during system enhancements cycles (e.g. business requirements drafting, business acceptance testing).
  • Perform ad-hoc timely data analysis as well as data quality controls and present the conclusions to audiences with diverse levels of expertise.
  • Review and assess the impact of new regulations and guidelines issued by relevant authorities.
  • Manage communication with the relevant stakeholders, by providing timely high-quality, reliable assessments and expertise.

 

Your profile:

  • University degree in Business, Finance, Economics or Risk Management related fields
  • At least one 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Good understanding of financial instruments, market and credit risk concepts. Knowledge of settlement is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to details, ability to draw accurate conclusions and provide well-grounded recommendations. Data analysis skills or previous experience would be considered an asset.
  • Sound knowledge of the systems of records, comfortable to perform reporting and investigations.
  • Good command of MS Excel, Powerpoint and PowerBi. Knowledge of VBA and SQL would be an asset.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, creativity, proven ability to conceptualize and execute solutions.
