It provides Indexing-, Data, Regulatory, and Infrastructure Services to members of the financial community worldwide. MD+S is the home of the renowned brands such as DAX ® and STOXX® as well as of all relevant data from Deutsche Börse’s trading platforms like Xetra® or Eurex®. The Data Services department develops, maintains and markets all of Deutsche Börse’s data, amongst them the proprietary market data of Deutsche Börse and its cooperation partners. In addition, we provide a leading set of analytics and sophisticated metrics for both investment and trading strategies applying modern statistical methods, big data analytics and machine learning. Our clients are the leading financial organisations worldwide, amongst them the leading investment banks, hedge funds and specialist providers of financial information. The Unit Customer Compliance covers customer market data audit activities to validate revenues, reporting, licensing and compliance of customers with the relevant market data agreements. The objective of the team is to ensure clients are audited regularly in order to minimise the risk of unreported and unlicensed market data and to support customers’ with their compliance requirements under their relevant agreement.

 

Tasks/responsibilities

  • Conduct market data customer audits of subscribers, licensees, market data vendors, service facilitators remotely and on site following best practice guidelines to identify discrepancies in accordance with relevant agreements
  • Produce accurate and detailed audit analyses for presentation to both audited parties and internally to audit team and with due consideration to cost and time efficiencies
  • Extend, update and document acquired audit knowledge and processes including data delivery platforms, technical systems, applications, entitlement control systems, market data management systems and administrative practices and communicate to other team members
  • Provide input into the internal development of audit policy and the contractual terms for agreements audited
  • Update audit strategies to ensure standardised, efficient audit processes are maintained
  • Develop and maintain effective and harmonious internal and external working relationships and manage expectations throughout the audit process at customers
  • Effectively plan and complete audit work to ensure individual and team targets are met

 

Qualifications/required skills

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Proven experience of researching and analysing data with high level of attention to detail
  • Good analytical and organisational skills as well as technical understanding
  • Excellent communication skills and diplomatic manner both oral and written
  • Proven knowledge and experience in the financial services industry in the market data of Deutsche Börse AG
  • Knowledge of market data delivery systems, platforms, vendor and third party applications, entitlement systems in addition to data management inventory and administration systems
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is a requirement and proficiency in another European language especially German would also be advantageous
  • Ability to adapt and adopt new processes and approaches to working practices
  • Intermediate or advanced skills at handling MS Office applications in particular MS Excel, MS Access
  • Willingness to travel
