Data Governance Specialist (f/m/d)

Field of activity

The Data Architecture team is responsible for the data architecture of our index application landscape and the data governance across the systems. You will support the team in the development and execution of data governance strategies in a challenging data and financial product environment.



  • Design and develop data cleansing mechanisms and manage them in collaboration with the business
  • Develop and maintain data centric solutions in response to varied business problems
  • Improve, maintain and support existing databases and solutions
  • Monitor the execution of QA and cleansing mechanisms throughout the systems
  • Report on data quality statuses and data cleansing progress to various stakeholders


Qualifications/required skills

  • Highly experienced in SQL Server Database Development and Administration
  • Strong experience with MS BI stack (T-SQL and SSIS)
  • Experience with Python, Apache Spark, HDFS, etc.
  • Strong experience with ETL and data modelling
  • Experienced in data quality and data cleansing activities
  • Expertise in the domain of Data and Information best practices in Financial Services
  • Domain knowledge of the index business (security reference data, pricing data, corporate action processing, operational index life cycle) or similar domain
  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed and attentive to details
  • Creative problem solver with an aptitude for complex technical work
  • The ability to positively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English; German language skills are an asset
  • Willingness to travel on a periodic basis to the different team locations
