The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) area is at the heart of the Information Technology division of Deutsche Börse Group. The CTO area develops and operates the group-wide IT infrastructure (network, data centers and cloud), the Group Data & Advanced Analytics and the Enterprise Architecture which significantly contribute to Deutsche Börse Group overall strategy. The CTO area drives digital transformation and leverages innovation while keeping production operations stable are the core pillars of the shared services.
We are looking for a motivated and creative working student or intern (UX/UI designer) to join our team. In this role, you will primarily focus on UI design for our flagship product – the DBG Data & Analytics Marketplace – as well as contribute to smaller projects. You will work closely with our product and data science teams to create intuitive, visually appealing interfaces that enhance user experience. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment and contribute to impactful digital products in the financial industry, where data and analytics play a critical role.
Your responsibilities:
- You design and refine user interfaces for web-based applications, primarily using Figma
- You collaborate with product managers and developers to translate requirements into engaging UI designs
- You ensure consistency with design guidelines and maintain a high standard of usability
- You support UX activities such as wireframing and prototyping when needed
- You contribute ideas to improve the overall user experience and visual design
- You assist in preparing design assets and documentation for development handover
- You are enrolled in a Bachelor’s program (at least in your 3rd semester) or a Master’s program in design, human-computer interaction, or a related field
- You have a strong interest in UI design; a basic understanding of UX principles is a plus
- You are proficient in Figma and familiar with modern design tools and workflows
- You can create clean, user-friendly, and visually appealing designs
- You have a basic understanding of the financial industry and an interest in data-driven products
- You are detail-oriented, creative, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
- You have excellent oral and written communication skills and are fluent in English. German is a plus
