The Plan & Control team within the CTO division provides reliable management information and supports informed decision-making across the organisation. It plays a key role in coordinating reporting activities, ensuring transparency, and enabling efficient operations within the technology function. Working closely with both business and IT teams, the department contributes to achieving strategic goals through data-driven insights.
Support the development of Power BI reports and dashboards by preparing, analysing, and validating data to deliver clear and accurate management insights.
Your area of work
As a working student (f/m/d), you will support the Plan & Control team in the CTO area department significantly through the ideation and development of the business intelligence dashboard.
Your responsibilities:
- You will develop Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and support data-driven decision-making
- You will support stakeholders in defining reporting requirements by helping to identify needed reports, data structures, and key metrics to meet business objectives
- You will prepare and transform data (data preparation, data modelling, ETL) to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability for reporting
- You will ensure data quality and data validation by performing checks and resolving discrepancies in datasets and reports
- You will collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into clear reporting solutions, and ensure data is reliably collected, well-structured, and easily accessible for analytics
- You will document reporting processes and support knowledge sharing to improve transparency, usability, and ongoing reporting efficiency
Your profile:
- You are enrolled during the entire period of activity at a state-recognized university as a regular post-graduate degree student and have completed at least 2 semesters in Business, Finance, IT, Data Analytics, or a related field, with a strong interest in data analysis and business intelligence
- Ideally, you have already gained first practical experience in the context of business intelligence and analysis in an IT organisation with a focus on delivering actionable information and insights
- Knowledge of Power BI or similar data visualisation tools (must-have), including basic report and dashboard development
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data handling (must-have), with the ability to prepare and structure datasets for analysis
- Understanding of data concepts such as data modelling, SQL, or ETL processes (desirable) to support more advanced analytics and reporting tasks
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and initiative (must-have), combined with good communication and collaboration abilities
