Your area of work

The Governance & Projects unit at Deutsche Börse AG addresses governance-related topics as well as cross-divisional initiatives from a group function perspective. Our activities span both the ongoing management and the continuous development of governance frameworks, complemented by the execution of large, organization-wide projects.

In this role, you will gain first-hand insights into the business and operating model of Deutsche Börse Group, with a particular focus on governance and its day-to-day operations. You will contribute to governance processes and operational activities while gaining practical experience in how robust frameworks support reliable and efficient operations across the organization.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • You will assist in the administration and coordination of the Written Rule Lifecycle process, including activities such as creation, updates, publication, and related governance processes, while working closely with Written Rule owners
  • You will help manage incoming requests via the functional mailbox, supporting prioritization and timely handling in line with defined service levels
  • You will support the preparation and coordination of committee meetings, including scheduling, preparing materials, documenting outcomes, and following up on action items
  • You will contribute to testing, data preparation, and migration activities related to a newly developed tool with AI embedded features, gaining practical experience in system implementation and process improvement
  • In addition, you will support the team in day-to-day activities, gaining insights into both governance operations and cross-divisional projects

 

Your profile:

  • You are enrolled as a regular student at a state-recognized university for the entire duration of your employment and have successfully completed at least one semester
  • Ideally, you have gained some initial practical experience in the financial markets environment
  • You have a basic understanding of finance, capital markets, and financial regulation
  • You bring a structured and reliable way of working, combined with good communication skills and a service-oriented mindset
  • You enjoy working in a team and are motivated to learn, take initiative, and contribute to shared goals
  • You have a strong affinity for new technologies and digital innovation, with an interest in AI-driven solutions and their application, e.g. in process optimization
  • You are proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • You are fluent in English; German language skills are considered an advantage
