Your area of work

The Trading Design team within Trading Design & Delivery conceptualizes, implements, and maintains processes around the integration of new products, services, and functionalities of the trading system. The team takes a leading role in the design of functional and data architecture, enabling professional data analytics and informed trading decisions across the organization.

As a Trading Data Steward / Quantitative Strategist, you will establish domain-level data ownership for trading data assets, ensure alignment with enterprise-wide data governance standards, and progressively take on quantitative research responsibilities related to trading and market microstructure analysis.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and continuously improve data governance policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and organizational objectives
  • Coordinate with business lines, data product teams, and IT functions to implement data governance policies across lines of defense, supporting their effective integration into daily operations
  • Collaborate closely with trading business experts, product owners, and IT teams to define data products, data contracts, and domain semantics, including the development of data quality reporting in self-service mode
  • Review and continuously improve data governance roles and responsibilities (including RACI matrices), testing and iteratively enhancing them to ensure operational effectiveness
  • Analyze and evaluate market data and monitor the impact of changes on trading market microstructure design
  • Support the set-up, preparation, and presentations for Data Governance Council and related forums, and report on workstream progress to senior management and stakeholders

 

Your profile

  • You have successfully completed your university degree in mathematics, economics, computer science, or a related quantitative discipline, or have relevant work experience in data governance or quantitative analysis
  • You provide relevant professional experience in business consultancy, change initiatives, or data governance, involving policies, concepts, or standards definition; experience with data management in big data/data lake environments is an advantage
  • You have a solid understanding of trading lifecycle processes, market microstructure, trading systems, and enterprise data management concepts including data modeling, metadata management, data architecture principles, and data quality management
  • You are organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to articulate complex matters in a clear and structured way, combined with strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • You have coding skills, ideally in Python and SQL, and knowledge of exchange-traded derivatives; experience with Databricks, Atlan, and GCP is advantageous
  • You are proficient in written and spoken English, including strong technical writing skills; German language skills will be an asset
