Field of activity

The “Strategic Planning” Team as part of the Post-Trade, Data & Index division is supporting the growth ambitions by the various Clearstream businesses by supporting the development of an integrated business strategy in collaboration both with Deutsche Börse Group Strategy team and the Clearstream Product Heads. It provides extensive research and analysis material, prepares decisions and drives the implementation of strategic initiatives.



  • Conduct extensive internal and external research to provide guidance on the future strategic evolution of Clearstream
  • Proactively monitor developments in Clearstream’s competitive space
  • Observe and analyse key external factors influencing Clearstream’s current and future business performance and strategic position
  • Support the inclusion of recent technological developments into strategic business planning
  • In collaboration with Product Leads, develop actionable strategic plans
  • Develop and validate business plans, financial modelling and company valuations
  • Prepare presentations and decision documents for Senior executive management of Clearstream and Deutsche Börse Group
  • Prepare decision proposals and status reports for Clearstream and DBAG Executive Management
  • Drive key strategic projects as a project lead, ensure in-time and in-budget implementation
  • Continuously monitor portfolio of strategic projects with a view to both alignment with strategic direction and in-time execution

Qualifications/required skills

  • University degree in economics, business administration, or equivalent with excellent results
  • At least three years of experience in the securities post-trade industry, ideally in a Strategic Planning, Product Management or Project Management role
  • Strong analytical skills and good knowledge of quantitative tools and methods
  • Focus on delivery with results-oriented and structured approach to problem solving
  • Ability to work under pressure with high degree of reliability and autonomy
  • Excellent interpersonal skills combined with the ability to prepare and communicate complex analysis and visualizations for different target groups, including Executive Management
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English; additional French and/or German language skills will be an asset
  • Excellent conduct of MS Office applications, specifically Excel and Powerpoint
  • High commitment, motivation and entrepreneurial spirit
