Field of activity

You will be working in our team in Frankfurt. Your primary responsibility will be the analysis of regulatory topics in the course of legislation process, business developments, new products and strategic initiatives in order to enhance existing Eurex products and identify future business opportunities and market developments. You will cover the full range of Eurex regulated entities and jurisdictions including credit institutions, CCPs, exchanges and MTFs. The main focus will be on Germany and European laws and regulations. However, the universe of regulations already starts at international levels (Basel Committee, CPSS-IOSCO, FSB) and continues on an European level (EU, EBA, ECB, ESMA, etc.) and also covers national rules in countries like Switzerland, UK and some Asian countries.

You will be involved in the analysis of dedicated topics and advisory of management and business unit related to banking supervision and supervision of central counterparties (EMIR and subsequent regulations). In a dynamic environment with growing supervisory challenges as well as product and process innovations you will be the connecting link between business units and supervisors and you will support senior management as a specialist on all aspects of supervision / regulations.

 

Tasks/responsibilities

  • Analysis of multiple regulatory topics
  • Analysis of product impacts on clients and prospective clients
  • Involvement in product shaping depending on client demands and requirements
  • Optimization of products to minimize implications on Eurex entities balance sheets and regulatory ratios
  • Involvement in international/EU/national legislation process related to regulatory matters in close cooperation with group wide experts
  • Involvement in regulatory licensing processes
  • Consulting/support of projects/initiatives with regard to regulatory and supervisory topics

 
Qualifications/required skills

  • University degree majoring in business or law with a focus on banking or similar qualification
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in the finance industry.
  • Solid knowledge of supervisory regulations as well as related to banking business, capital markets and financial instruments
  • Experience in the regulatory self-Assessments or similar exercises and in supporting external supervisory examinations
  • Knowledge on accounting matters is highly appreciated
  • Proven language skills in both German and English
