Senior Backend Developer - AI Agent Hub (f/m/d)
Date: 3 Jul 2026
Location: Frankfurt am Main, DE
Company: Deutsche Börse Group
Your area of work:
Within the CTO division, we operate and develop the group-wide IT infrastructure — spanning networks, data centers, cloud environments, our AI-driven SDLC platform, Group Data & Advanced Analytics, and Enterprise Architecture. These functions are central to the Deutsche Börse Group strategy. As a Senior Backend Developer, you will design and build enterprise-grade backend services powering our Agent Hub — the central orchestration and routing layer through which all AI agents interact with developers, repositories, and regulated workflows.
Your responsibilities:
- Architect and implement high-performance backend services and central routing logic for the Agent Hub using Python and Java on Kubernetes/GCP
- Design and enforce the identity and access management layer, including a split-identity model with OAuth user tokens for write actions and service accounts for read-only background tasks
- Build and maintain RESTful and event-driven APIs connecting AI agents, GitHub EU Cloud, Jira On-Premise, and internal platform services at enterprise scale
- Drive microservice decomposition, resilience patterns, and observability to guarantee production-grade reliability within a regulated financial market infrastructure
- Collaborate with AI/ML engineers and DevSecOps teams to integrate agentic workflows into CI/CD pipelines while meeting DORA, EU AI Act, and NIS2 compliance requirements
- Mentor fellow engineers on backend best practices, conduct architecture reviews, and contribute to platform-wide technical standards and reusable service patterns
Your profile:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with 5+ years of experience building production backend systems at scale
- Expert-level programming skills in Python and/or Java, with proven experience designing high-performance, low-latency APIs (FastAPI, Spring Boot, or comparable frameworks)
- Deep hands-on experience with OAuth 2.0/OIDC identity flows, token-based authentication, and enterprise-grade access control in microservice architectures
- Strong proficiency with Kubernetes, GCP, and DevSecOps tooling (GitHub Actions, Terraform, container security scanning, CI/CD pipeline design)
- Solid understanding of event-driven architectures, distributed systems patterns, and observability stacks for mission-critical environments
nice to have:
- Experience in regulated industries (financial services) and familiarity with compliance frameworks such as the EU AI Act, DORA, and NIS2
- Familiarity with LangGraph or other agentic orchestration platforms
- German language skills
