Clearstream as premier provider of settlement services ensures that securities are accurately processed between parties after trading. As Securities Settlement Officer you are responsible for settlement of transactions in international securities as well as domestic securities settling via the Creation or CASCADE platform. These securities are either deposited within Clearstream Luxembourg’s global network which covers currently more than 50 foreign markets or via Clearstream Frankfurt’s (I)CSD (14) links, which includes the settlement via the European platform T2S. Your main tasks will be monitoring and follow up of customer instructions until final settlement as well as the handling of settlement related queries from internal and external parties.



  • 2nd-Level-Support for settlement related queries
  • Monitoring and follow up of internal and domestic settlement transactions to ensure timely execution of security instructions
  • Dealing of English correspondence with all international depositories and local (I)CSDs ((International) Central Security Depository)
  • Continuous improvement of internal processes
  • Project work and testing support to further extend and improve settlement services
  • Handling of “French Registered Shares”, ie injecting & monitoring of BRN’s, reconciliation activities and correspondence with various Market participants


Qualifications/required skills

  • Successfully completed banking apprenticeship or comparable qualification
  • Profound knowledge within Financial Services, ideally in the Securities Settlement
  • Experience with Clearstream Products and Connectivity-Systems CreationOnline, RTS_Creation, SWIFT,
  • CASCADE and/or WSS desirable.
  • Knowledge about the settlement via the European platform T2S is valuable.
  • Service orientation with excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong problem solving skills, accuracy and ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and German
