Your area of work
Clearstream Risk Management (“CRM”) is responsible for measurement, controlling and reporting of operational, business and liquidity risks of the Clearstream Group. The CRM team reports to the Chief Risk Officer of Clearstream. The function will be tasked with the identification, measurement, reporting and monitoring of non-financial risks within Clearstream Group. 
 
Your responsibilities

  • Supporting the identification, measurement, monitoring and reporting on the non-financial risks which Clearstream may be exposed to and the risks that Clearstream poses to any other entities including its participants and their clients, as well as other financial parties and systems
  • Developing, improving and maintaining Operational Risk Model 
  • Conducting non-financial risk related quatifications
  • Supporting the business units with the development of risk scenarios and corresponding risk indicators, review and reporting of Key Risk Indicators
  • Validating the identified non-financial risks regarding completeness and accuracy & assessment of non-financial risks by analysis of e.g. risk indicators, loss data and audit findings. 
  • Providing advice, supporting and challenging business units to drive proactive risk management and generally improve risk awareness as part of the corporate culture
  • Developing, maintaining and enhancing risk concepts, policies and procedures

 
Your profile

  • Relevant university degree in the field of economics, mathematics / business mathematics, statistics, computer science / information technology, business studies, legal / compliance or other relevant fields
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional relevant working experience in Non-Financial Risk Management/Operational Risk Management or Model Development / Validation, preferably in an international banking/securities processing environment
  • Strong skills in modeling 
  • Proficiency in Python or relevant programming languages
  • Knowledge of relevant risk management regulations 
  • Ability to understand and explain complex concepts to non-experts/stakeholders through use of analytical skills, to see the big picture as well as the detail
  • Detail-oriented, with ability to see the big picture as well
  • Strong analytical skills with solution oriented approach, creativity, critical thinking
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills to engage with a multinational environment
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory
