Research Associate - Markets Legal (f/m/d)

Field of activity

As research associate you will be part of the central legal department of Deutsche Börse AG in Part Time for 2 to 3 days a week and on the basis of a thorough work specific introduction in the team be handling legal issues with a strong international context in the area of general civil and capital markets law as well as exchange, securities and supervisory law. The focus will be on the legal support of Group Deutsche Börse’s Frankfurt Stock Exchange and the Derivative Exchange Eurex Deutschland.



  • Handling of sanctions proceedings at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and the Derivative Exchange Eurex  Deutschland
  • Review and cooperation in the preparation of rule books, general terms and conditions and agreements
  • Assistance in the collaboration with German and foreign supervisory authorities (BaFin and Bundesbank as well as ESMA, SEC and CFTC i.a.)


Qualifications/required skills

  • First or second German judicial state exams above average
  • Ideally dissertation project on a capital markets topic
  • Interest in new legal areas, ideally expertise in capital markets, exchange law as well as securities and supervisory law
  • Good knowledge in general civil law
  • Well proficiency of the German and English language
