Your area of work
“Trade Venue Regulation” oversees the European and National regulatory framework applicable to Eurex Deutschland and Frankfurt Stock Exchange and to the exchange operators Eurex Frankfurt AG and Deutsche Börse AG in the context of an exchange organisation. It designs, implements, and executes compliant solutions mindfully balancing the derivatives/cash markets and regulators´ interests while it continuously monitors the regulatory landscape. The team also contributes to regulatory consultations and maintains exchange rulebooks to reflect new regulatory requirements, or to develop the rules proactively if those seem outdated. As an integral part of a mid-sized team with low hierachies, you will play a major role in the design of a future target operating model to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements applicable for the most important exchanges. 

 

Your responsibilities 

  • Analysis and evaluation of regulatory reporting requirements applicable for Eurex Deutschland and the Frankfurter Wertpapierbörse mainly resulting from MiFID/MiFIR and MAR related to reference and transparence data as well as market microstructure
  • Design and Implementation of processes to monitor compliance with the exchange rulebooks as well as setting up sanctioning procedures including execution (Monitoring & Sanctioning)
  • Conduct impact analysis driven by new consultations or technical releases of the trading system T7 and other related core systems and if required, derive respective changes and monitor the implementation 
  • Maintenance of Reporting documents, such as Business Requirements, Functional Requirements and Customer handbooks
  • Primary Interface to Competent Authorities, Customers, Key Account Managers and IT regarding Regulatory Reporting related questions including L2 support
  • Support the implementation of a sustainable Target Operating Model for Regulatory Reporting Solutions 
  • Support and contribute to the Improvement of Error Handling processes in daily reporting 
  • Regular Regulatory Reporting Status Updates to Steering Committees and the Executive Board 

  
Your profile 

  • Successfully completed your university degree in economics, law or natural sciences with a focus on financial industries 
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the financial industry and a good understanding of an exchange organization
  • Sound knowledge of derivatives and cash markets and regulatory (reporting) topics impacting exchanges or financial markets as a whole
  • Knowledge of trading and ability to read orderbooks is a plus
  • Ability to perform quantitative analysis and to read code is a plus
  • Being pragmatic whilst paying attention to details is essential 
  • Full proficiency in English and German
