Field of activity

The Regulation & Compliance team has to ensure full compliance with all national and international regulations. The aim of Regulatory Compliance is to protect Eurex Clearing AG from damages caused by the non-compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Therefore, we focus on the analysis of pending new laws and regulations related to the Eurex Clearing AG business activities. The section advises the Executive Board of Eurex Clearing AG on all relevant compliance risks and assists in the prevention of possible monetary and reputational risks. We also advise and assist the people responsible to carry out the Eurex services to comply with the obligations under the applicable regulations.

Regulation & Compliance works closely together with other business and control functions of Eurex Clearing AG and the German Börse AG, especially with regard to the compliance and implementation of group guidelines.

 

Tasks/responsibilities

  • Regulatory Relationship Management: Point of contact for Supervisory Authorities (national / international) and coordination of requests
  • Regulatory Relationship Management: Addressing all planned service and products enhancements or developments in a structured manner internally and also with Regulators
  • Coordination of applications to offer products and services in third countries
  • Analysis of relevant regulatory requirements (national and international) and identification of potential impact on the organization and the business model of Eurex Clearing AG (incl. appropriate documentation).
  • Support of the business regarding the implementation of regulatory requirements.
  • Answering consultations on regulatory matters related to Eurex Clearing AG.
  • Providing support with regard to the creation of procedures related to the prevention of violations of regulatory requirements.
  • Information and training of employees covering all relevant regulatory compliance topics.
     

Qualifications/required skills

  • University degree in economics, law or finance or similar degree in a relevant field of expertise
  • Relevant experience in dealing with regulatory requirements for derivatives exchanges and clearing houses
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, especially EMIR, CPMI-IOSCO Principles for FMI and MiFIR/ MiFID II
  • Good understanding of financial market infrastructure activities, especially CCP
  • Excellent analytical skills, creativity, critical thinking, ability to identify challenges and propose solutions
  • Fluency in German and English
