Field of activity

Group Strategy and M&A is responsible for the business planning and corporate finance framework of Deutsche Börse Group. Furthermore, the responsibility for the group-wide strategy development and implementation belongs to Group Strategy and M&A. The team is in charge of the guidance, execution and calculation of M&A projects. As a Group Strategy and M&A project manager you will be responsible for all necessary measures for the implementation of various projects/tasks and will be in close contact with the decision-makers of Deutsche Börse Group.



  • Co-management of M&A projects and organic strategic initiatives of Deutsche Börse Group
  • Development and validation of business plans, financial modelling and company valuations
  • Guidance of Due-Diligence processes and preparation of transaction documents
  • Preparation of presentations and decision documents for the Group Executive Board and other senior executive management of Deutsche Börse Group
  • Post-transaction monitoring, supporting impairment testing within the scope of group financial statements, investment controlling for new and existing engagements
  • Guidance/implementation of strategic analysis and various research tasks
  • Support development of Group Strategy together with CEO of Deutsch Börse and the board team as well as the MD Group Strategy and M&A/ Chief of Staff


Qualifications/required skills

  • University degree in economics or business with distinction (preferably with major focus on financing and investment, auditing, controlling etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills and good knowledge of quantitative tools and methods
  • Several years of professional experience in the fields of research/M&A/Corporate Finance or auditing/top management consultancy
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge regarding relevance and functioning of capital markets as well as in-depth understanding of business principles and processes
  • High commitment, motivation and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English; additional German language skills will be an asset
