Intern / Working Student - Cloud FinOps & Analytics (f/m/d)

Your area of work:

As an intern / working student (f/m/d) you will support the IT Cloud Financial Management and Optimisation team significantly in monitoring multi-cloud consumption, coordinating project deliverables, and preparing analytical spend models across engineering and business teams.

Your responsibilities:

• Your main task includes collecting, structuring, and analysing multi-cloud usage and billing data across major cloud platforms (such as  Azure, and GCP) to identify cost drivers and spending trends
• You are involved in coordinating FinOps project workstreams, supporting task management, tracking project milestones, and preparing stakeholder presentations
• You will also be developing and maintaining reports and dashboards using finops central tools such as Cloudability, and business intelligence tools such as Power BI and Microsoft Excel to provide clear financial visibility to management
• Furthermore, you will jointly analyse and organise cloud cost optimisation measures, while exploring the use of AI tools to support automated data evaluation, documentation, and process efficiency
• You will gain interesting insights into enterprise cloud architecture, IT financial controllership, project management, and cross-functional FinOps best practices within an international organisation

Your profile:

• You are enrolled during the entire period of activity at a state-recognised university as a regular student and have completed at least two semesters with a study focus in the field of business informatics, computer science, data science, economics, business administration, industrial engineering, or a related discipline
• You are fluent in written and spoken English, enabling you to communicate and present effectively in an international corporate environment
• You have very good knowledge of MS Office applications (especially advanced MS Excel, Power Point); hands-on exposure to AI tools (e.g. generative AI assistants, prompt design, or machine learning concepts) and experience with BI tools (e.g. Power BI) or scripting (e.g. Python, SQL) is an advantage
• Thanks to your structured and independent working style, you easily manage multiple tasks; your strong affinity for numbers, communication skills, and project management acumen help you to drive initiatives forward
• Ideally, you have already gained first practical experience in the context of internships, working student roles, or academic projects in project management, data analytics, financial controlling, or cloud technologies
• You are interested in public cloud technologies, FinOps, AI-driven process optimisation, and agile project delivery
