Field of Activity

The Clearing Delivery & Control section is responsible for the monitoring and control of operational business processes, the operating Change- and Quality Management and the centralized master data maintenance for the electronic clearing and trading systems of Eurex Clearing AG, FWB, Eurex (Eurex, Eurex Bonds, Eurex Repo) as well as the connected trading platforms of the securities lending services under consideration of market-related regulations. As an intern at Clearing Data Control you have the excellent opportunity to get deep insights into the different areas of our company and the strategic challenges from the perspective of a clearing house. While working, you will acquire an understanding of the different functions of a clearing house. In addition, you get an insight into the value chain of the Deutsche Boerse Group, from trading through clearing to settlement and custody of securities. The unit Clearing Data Control is responsible for the central master data maintenance of the electronic clearing and trading systems, as well as ensuring the functional operation. Moreover contributes Clearing Data Control to the implementation of strategic initiatives and is involved in major projects within Eurex. As an intern, you get the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a dynamic team and to combine the theory learned from the university with practical knowledge. While you are being actively involved in processes, we offer diverse, interesting and above all challenging tasks.

 

Tasks/responsibilities

  • Functional Customer Service for participants of the Eurex Clearing House
  • Central master data maintenance of the electronic clearing and trading systems
  • Drawing up statistical analysis and management presentations
  • Research tasks
  • Support in current ongoing projects of the department
  • Maintenance of data, process flows and documentation material in English
  • Support of the daily business activities of the clearing house
  • Active communication with other departments within Deutsche Boerse Group and with the customers of Eurex Clearing AG

 

Qualification/required skills

  • Students must be enrolled in an academic program recognized by the state during their internship
  • Minimum of two successfully completed semesters of undergraduate studies
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and German
  • Competent handling of MS-Office applications (Database knowledge is desirable)
  • Interested in capital and stock markets
  • High degree of flexibility and a well-developed customer orientation
