Your area of work
As an intern (f/m/d), you will support the Cloud & Architecture Office within Clearstream Post-Trade IT. In this position, you will contribute to core architecture governance processes, support the preparation of management and design decision forums, and gain valuable insights into enterprise architecture, non-functional requirements, and IT solution design in a highly regulated financial market infrastructure environment.
This role is an excellent opportunity for students interested in IT architecture, cloud governance, and the intersection between business requirements and technical design. Your responsibilities:

  • You will contribute to the preparation of Management Meeting presentations for relevant architecture and design agenda items
  • You will support IT Impact Assessments on request, helping evaluate changes from an architectural perspective
  • You will prepare and, where applicable, present topics to the Design Council, enabling decisions on fundamental IT design and architecture aspects
  • You will provide input to architecture related sections in Product Requirements Documents (PRDs)
  • You will support the review of Business Requirements, ensuring alignment with architectural principles and guidelines
  • You will review Architecture & Infrastructure Planning (AIP) documents
  • You will support the review of Non Functional Requirements (NFRs) and related Non Functional Testing (NFT) approaches and plans

 

Your profile:

  • You are enrolled during the entire period of activity at a state-recognized university as a regular student in your Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Informatics, Engineering, or a related field. Furthermore, we offer the possibility of an orientation internship, whereby you are currently in a gap-year after your bachelor's or master's degree in the above-mentioned fields of study - in this case, an enrolment is not required
  • You have a strong interest in IT architecture, solution design, and non-functional requirements
  • You are competent in working with MS Office applications, especially PowerPoint and Excel and have first experience with project documentation, JIRA and/or Confluence
  • You have strong analytical and problem solving skills and can understand complex technical topics
  • You work in a structured manner with attention to detail and show excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • You are eager to learn, proactive, and able to adapt quickly to new technologies and processes
  • You are proficient in written and spoken English; German skills are beneficial but not required
