Your area of work
As an Intern, you will join the Eurex Clearing ICT Governance team and support the enhancement of information security, risk management, and governance processes. A key focus of the role is the automation and optimization of controls, workflows, reporting, and data analysis through modern technologies and AI-enabled solutions. As part of the first line of defence, the team helps ensure the confidentiality, integrity, availability, authenticity, and resilience of information assets while supporting compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
Your responsibilities:
- You will support the Eurex Clearing ICT Governance team in identifying, developing, and automating information security and risk management controls through modern digital solutions
- You will contribute to the evaluation and adoption of intelligent automation initiatives, leveraging Generative AI, Microsoft Copilot, and workflow solutions to streamline Governance, Risk, Compliance processes
- You will assist in analysing security and governance datasets to identify risk trends, control gaps, and opportunities for process optimization
- You will design, enhance, and automate management dashboards and executive reporting to drive transparency, reporting quality, and data-driven decision-making
- In addition, you will support vulnerability management activities, including data analysis, tracking automated control execution, and following up on remediation actions
- Furthermore, you will perform quality assurance and validation of automated control outputs and reporting results to ensure high data integrity and reliability
Your profile:
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Business Informatics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline
- You have a strong interest in information security, ICT risk management, governance, outsourcing oversight, regulatory compliance, and emerging technologies
- You demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills and enjoy working with data, automation, and process optimization
- You have hands-on experience with programming, scripting, automation, or analytics tools such as Python, Power Automate, Power Apps, SQL, Power BI, Copilot Studio, or similar technologies
- You possess basic knowledge of AI, Generative AI, machine learning concepts, prompt engineering, or AI-powered business solutions, with a strong drive to use these technologies to automate manual tasks and improve reporting and governance efficiency
- You possess excellent English communication skills, German proficiency is beneficial
