As an Insurance Associate you will be working in our team within a global environment. Your primary responsibility will be the organizational and administrative support of insurance related tasks. You will be involved in the ongoing development and maintenance of DBG’s international insurance portfolio

Your responsibilities:
- Policy & Program Management: Jointly manage a dedicated set of international insurance policies and programs (such as D&O, General Liability, and Professional Indemnity).
- Renewal Preparation & Insurer/ Broker Interface: Lead the preparation, data analysis, and tendering for contract renewals. Act as a primary specialist contact for internal business units, central functions, and external partners, including major industrial insurers and international insurance carriers as well as insurance brokers.
- In-House Advisory & Legal Alignment: Integrate changing or new risk profiles into existing coverages. Address complex internal and external insurance-related inquiries, utilizing your insurance (law) background to evaluate risk exposures and policy wording.
- Document & Process Governance: Play an active role in maintaining and improving document management processes, ensuring that insurance-related records, contract archives, and compliance reports are organized, accessible, and audit-ready.
- Claims Handling Coordination: Drive the technical handling and settlement of insurance claims in close cooperation with brokers and underwriters.
- Reporting & Risk Management: Contribute to the continuous improvement of corporate insurance processes, risk transfer practices, and the preparation of management reports and presentations
Your profile:
- You have completed your university degree in Law (ideally with a focus on Insurance), Business Administration, Insurance, Risk Management, Finance or related field
- You possess at least 2 to 3 years of relevant professional experience specifically gained
- within an in-house corporate insurance unit of a large multinational enterprise,
- as an in-house broker/ corporate insurance broker handling complex commercial accounts, or
- within an industrial insurance company (underwriting or claims). - You have proven experience working in an international corporate setting or managing global insurance programs.
- You have strong foundational knowledge of insurance law principles, contract clause analysis, and corporate risk transfer mechanisms.
- You like to work highly analytically, independently, result-oriented, and are capable to work with an agile working method in a team. Excellent organization, project management, and stakeholder communication skills are rounding off your profile.
- Fluent English and German communication skills
- Advanced MS Office proficiency
